A Brother in Christ From Cuba

The following is an excerpt from a letter received from a brother in Cuba names Cesar. He recently received a few free items the ministry of GTY sent him. The package sent included pens and a couple of Spanish books by John MacArthur. I will type it in Spanish and then translate it for English-speakers...

Brothers: Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus (2 Tim 2:3), Jesus is looking for people who are willing to participate in suffering; These are the best soldiers for His kingdom. It was through suffering, and not by works, that Jesus victoriously won our redemption. Suffering accomplishes much more that our activities (good deeds), in which many times we also please ourselves. For this reason let us say "yes" to suffering in our lives, for then we will accomplish great things. And what is more, we will also have a rich harvest for eternity. To God be the glory!"

I was encouraged to read this letter, hope you are too.
