Okay so lets talk about the fear of God. Proverbs says, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge." So what are some ways we can grow in the area of fearing God? Any suggestions?
Read Leviticus, and ponder the holiness of a God who requires an elaborate system of sacrifice and ritual simply so that he can dwell with his people in veiled form without annihilating them.
Then meditate on how we serve the same God with boldness through Christ.
Fearing Him and His wrath literally-being scared of Him and His justice, as in, "If I sin con mi amorcito, I'm going to give this ring back."
Know who you are, and who God is. You are a fraction of a drop; He is omnipresent. You are less than a speck on one planet among the millions of planets and stars He created.
Read Job (starting in chapter 38 when God "questions" him) and insert your name instead of Job's. Have you begotten drops of dew? Can you loose the belt of Orion, do you provide food for the raven?
Wow. Thanks guys for all the wisdom. Keep it coming. I've read through Leviticus a couple of times, and I remember times that I just had to put the Bible down and walk outside to take a deep breath! Talk about major, absolute attention to detail! God is AWESOME, AMAZING, and to be feared above all. I love you all friends!
